Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
The short version: we don't want your data. The creative tools never upload your files, the link tools only fetch the public URL you paste, there are no accounts, and we don't sell anything about you.
Who runs shotMod
shotMod is a product of SourceStrong AI. For any privacy question, email [email protected].
On-device tools never upload your files
Cloak, GridSlice, GlyphKit, CutOut, ExportKit, StripKit, MockShot, SlideSmith and FitPost do all of their work in your browser — detection, redaction, resizing, background removal, archive reading, metadata reading and stripping, mockup rendering, slide composition, video re-encoding and export. Your photos, videos and data exports never leave your device and there is no server-side processing step. You can confirm this with your browser's network inspector: the only requests are for the app and (once) the model files, which are then cached for offline use. ExportKit reads your Instagram data-export ZIP inside the tab and makes no network request at all, StripKit reads and strips a photo's metadata byte by byte with the network off, and FitPost decodes, re-encodes and splits your video with your device's own encoder and makes no network request at all.
Link tools only fetch the public URL you paste
InstaScribe, ReelVault, SoundPull, FrameForge, PostLens, SlideStack, ReadFrame, RateCard, ClaimDesk and CaptionBurn need to retrieve the public Instagram post or media you ask for. When you paste a public link, that URL is sent to our service only to fetch that public post; the media is returned to your browser. We never upload a file from your device. We do not store your links, we do not store the media, and we do not build a profile of what you fetch. InstaScribe then transcribes the fetched audio entirely in your browser — the transcription itself has no server-side processing step. SlideStack's PDF is likewise assembled in your browser, and its file-drop mode never contacts Instagram at all. ReadFrame's OCR likewise runs entirely in your browser — the engine files download once and the images are never uploaded, and its drop-or-paste path never contacts Instagram at all. RateCard additionally reads the public follower count of the account that owns the post you pasted — it is the denominator of an engagement rate — and computes every rate in your browser; its "Type the numbers" mode makes no network request at all. ClaimDesk's evidence pack, PDF and first-published comparison are likewise assembled in your browser, and its screenshot path never contacts Instagram at all. CaptionBurn decodes, redraws and re-encodes the clip with your device's own encoder — the captions, the styling and the export all happen in your browser, and a video you drop into it never contacts Instagram at all.
No accounts
No sign-up, no email, no login, no identity. There is nothing to leak because we never ask for it.
What we don't collect
We don't sell or share personal data, and we don't run analytics that touch your media or its contents. The privacy claims in the apps reflect what the code actually does, not aspirations.
Cookies & local storage
shotMod uses your browser's localStorage to remember preferences (like settings) and IndexedDB / Cache Storage to keep tool assets and detection models for offline use. Clearing your browser's site data for shotMod wipes all of it. ExportKit and StripKit are the exceptions — neither writes anything to localStorage, IndexedDB or Cache Storage; an ExportKit snapshot is a file you download and keep, and StripKit hands the cleaned photo straight back to you. CaptionBurn stores nothing either — the clip, the cues and the styling live only in the open tab. ClaimDesk stores one thing — the watch list you build in "Still Up?" — in your browser's localStorage; nothing about it is sent anywhere, and clearing your site data removes it.
Children
shotMod is intended for a general audience. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use by minors.
